Handicraft & Applied Arts
Handicrafts teach practical skills such as patience, hand-eye coordination, and self-reliance. While this form of learning is constructive, it is also a fantastic creative outlet for people of all ages. This form of applied art comes in many shapes and sizes. Beading, crochet, sewing, candle making, pottery, wood working, and gardening can all be forms of handicraft.
Our handicraft and applied arts programs use all sustainably sourced materials. Items can be thrifted, upcycled, reused, or made of recycled material.
